Our 1972 Mercedes 508D : Rose
Without a doubt our most characterful camper, but what’s it like living in and driving a 50+ year old vehicle, well it teaches you to slow down and enjoy life! Literally, we couldn’t go faster than 60kph…
But what a van, so many memories in this camper, we bought it when our son was 2 months old, spent almost 1 year completely renovating it and then got to enjoy our sons first years and so many firsts in and around ‘Rose’.

Rose being our second camper meant this time we had a few ideas of what we needed to change from our first, but we were still working on a budget so there were compromises for sure. But we managed to fit a filtered water system, 510W of Solar, 520Ah batteries, Full Surround Sound, Projector & drop down screen and a recirculating shower.
